Compare 11 AppMySite alternatives by price, iOS access, native vs webview and AI. See why users switch, what each tool costs, and which fits your site.
AppMySite gets your website into an app fast. But most problems show up after launch. iPhone apps need a pricier plan, publishing to the stores is still mostly on you, and the design can't move far past AppMySite's standard templates.
If you've hit one of those limits, this guide compares 11 AppMySite alternatives on price, iOS access, app quality and AI, so you can pick the right one for your platform.
Quick picks for the best AppMySite alternatives in 2026
- Shopify brand that wants an AI agent to build and run the app: Appbrew (from $199/mo, 30-day free trial)
- Shopify store on a tight budget: MageNative (from $99/mo) or Shopney (from $149/mo)
- Shopify brand that sells through live video: Superfans, formerly Vajro (from $150/mo)
- Shopify enterprise with an in-house app team: Tapcart (from $500/mo)
- WordPress or WooCommerce site: AppPresser (from $59/mo) to run it yourself, or MobiLoud (from $1,499/mo) to have it done for you
- Custom web app or Bubble app: Natively (from $12/mo billed yearly)
- New app built from scratch, with code export: FlutterFlow (from $39/mo)
- AppMySite starts at $49/mo billed yearly for an Android-only app. iPhone apps start at $99/mo.
What is AppMySite?
AppMySite turns a WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify or other website into iOS and Android apps without code. It holds a 4.2 rating from 426 reviews on G2. On Shopify, product and collection screens are native. Checkout loads your Shopify checkout in a WebView inside the app.
Why do users switch from AppMySite in 2026?
AppMySite works well for a simple Android app. Most users start looking elsewhere when they hit one of these limits:
- Publishing is manual. You upload Android builds yourself, and iOS submission is hard without a Mac.
- Design stays inside templates. Custom layouts and brand-specific screens are hard to build.
- iPhone apps cost more. iOS starts on the Pro plan at $99/mo billed yearly.
- Billing surprises. Several users reported unexpected plan changes between late 2024 and mid-2025.
- On Shopify, the app cart is separate from your website cart.
1. On Shopify: checkout opens in a WebView and the cart doesn't sync
Product and collection screens are native. Checkout loads your Shopify checkout in a WebView inside the app, and AppMySite confirms the app cart "is not synced with the cart on your Shopify website."
2. Publishing to the App Store and Google Play is still on you
AppMySite builds the app, but getting it live is mostly your job. On Android, you upload the build files yourself. On iOS, users describe submission as "quite complicated, especially for users without a Mac" (Capterra, August 2026).
3. Design stays inside templates
AppMySite shows your store through its own mobile layouts. Setup is quick, but you'll hit limits when you want layouts the templates don't support, or when you want to reorder pages and navigation freely.
4. iPhone apps and key features need a higher plan
Here's what each tier unlocks on AppMySite's Shopify pricing:
- Free and Starter ($0 and $49/mo billed yearly): Android only.
- Pro ($129 monthly): first plan with an iPhone app.
- Premium ($199/mo billed yearly): adds easy publishing, analytics and offline mode.
- Phone support: a paid add-on on every plan.
If your customers use iPhones, Pro is your real starting price.
5. Check your renewal amount
Between December 2024 and June 2025, several users on G2, Trustpilot and Capterra reported plans being upgraded or repriced without clear consent, such as a jump from $49 to $390 a month. If you're on an older plan, confirm your next renewal price in writing before it bills.

Best AppMySite alternatives for WordPress, web apps and new builds
These five tools fit sites that run outside Shopify, or teams starting from a blank canvas. MobiLoud and AppPresser turn an existing site into an app. Natively wraps a web app such as Bubble. GoodBarber and FlutterFlow build a new app from scratch.
7. MobiLoud: best done-for-you option for WordPress and Shopify sites
MobiLoud is a done-for-you service that turns your existing website into iOS and Android apps. Its team handles the build, store submission and maintenance.
- Best for: Teams that want a partner to build, publish and maintain the app for them
- Starting price: Business $1,499/mo, Enterprise $2,499/mo
- Rating: 4.7 from 109 reviews on Capterra
How it compares with AppMySite
- MobiLoud's team builds the app, submits it to both stores and maintains it.
- The app reuses your existing site, so there's no design rebuild and your web features carry over.
- It works with WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify and most other websites.
- White-label branding and unlimited push are included.
Trade-offs
- It costs more than ten times AppMySite's Pro plan.
- The app is only as fast as your mobile site. Capterra reviewers describe it as WebView-based.
- Apple's rule against "repackaged websites" is a risk MobiLoud has to manage for you.
If MobiLoud's price is out of reach, our MobiLoud alternatives guide covers other routes. For a direct look, read MobiLoud vs Appbrew.
8. AppPresser: best WordPress-native alternative
AppPresser is a mobile app builder made for WordPress. It turns your WordPress or WooCommerce site into iOS and Android apps through a plugin.
- Best for: WordPress and WooCommerce sites, including membership, community and course sites
- Starting price: Standard $59/mo billed yearly ($79 monthly), Professional $79/mo, Advanced $129/mo; 14-day free trial
- Rating: 3.7 from 53 ratings on WordPress.org
How it compares with AppMySite
- iOS and Android apps come with every plan.
- It officially supports WooCommerce, BuddyPress, LearnDash, Gravity Forms and Restrict Content Pro.
- A visual app customizer and push to 10,000 devices are on the entry plan.
Trade-offs
- Monthly Standard billing adds a $199 store submission fee.
- There are no refunds, and the app stops working if the subscription lapses.
- Website pages inside the app use AppPresser's own theme, not yours.
9. GoodBarber: best for content apps with light ecommerce
GoodBarber is a no-code app builder with its own CMS for content and ecommerce apps. It builds native apps and a PWA from the same project.
- Best for: Publishers, local businesses and small catalogs that want more design freedom than templates allow
- Starting price: Content apps from $30/mo, ecommerce apps from $40/mo, both billed yearly; 30-day free trial, no card needed
- Rating: 3.7 from 24 reviews on Capterra
How it compares with AppMySite
- It builds the app on its own CMS, which gives you more control over design.
- One project produces native apps and a PWA.
- AI-assisted creation helps you draft the app.
Trade-offs
- The pricing page doesn't show which plan includes iOS publishing.
- Store publishing is sold as a separate service.
- Capterra reviewers rate its customer service 3.3 out of 5.
If you sell on Shopify and GoodBarber feels limiting, our GoodBarber alternatives guide compares builders made for ecommerce.
10. Natively: best for custom web apps and Bubble apps
Natively wraps an existing web app, often built on Bubble, into iOS and Android apps. It adds native features like push notifications and in-app purchases.
- Best for: Founders with a web app, often built on Bubble, who need it in the app stores
- Starting price: Free to test; Essential $19/mo or $12/mo billed yearly; Unlimited $49/mo or $32/mo billed yearly; Lifetime $699 once
- Rating: 4.8 from 99 reviews on Trustpilot
How it compares with AppMySite
- Paid plans upload iOS builds automatically.
- In-app purchases and push notifications are included on paid plans.
- It's the cheapest way on this list to get a web app into both stores (pricing).
Trade-offs
- It's a wrapper, so Apple's "repackaged website" rule applies.
- App Store approval help is a paid service from $600.
- Essential includes four rebuilds, then charges $9 for each extra one.
11. FlutterFlow: best for building a new app from scratch
FlutterFlow is a visual builder for creating new apps in Flutter. You design every screen yourself and can export the code.
- Best for: Teams with some technical skill who want full design control and their own code
- Starting price: Free plan; Basic $39/mo; Growth $80/mo; Business $150/mo
- Rating: 4.5 from 30 reviews on G2
How it compares with AppMySite
- You start from a blank canvas with full design freedom.
- You can download real Flutter code and deploy to the App Store in one click from Basic.
- AI generation and AI agents help you build screens.
Trade-offs
- You build and maintain every screen yourself.
- There's no ready-made store sync, so an ecommerce app needs developer time for catalog, cart and checkout.
- Growth and Business charge per seat, so team costs add up.
Which AppMySite alternative is right for you?
Start with your platform, then decide who will run the app day to day. Those two answers narrow 11 tools to one or two.
If you are... | And you need... | Pick |
A Shopify brand doing real volume | An app that earns revenue without a dedicated app team | Appbrew |
A Shopify Plus brand with in-house developers and analysts | Enterprise testing, analytics and developer tools | Tapcart |
A smaller Shopify store | iOS and Android at the lowest monthly cost | MageNative or Shopney |
A Shopify brand built on drops and video | Live selling inside the app | Superfans |
A Shopify store unsure an app will pay off | A free start, paying a share of app sales | Plobal Apps |
A WordPress or WooCommerce site | To run the app yourself on a budget | AppPresser |
Any site with budget but no time | A team to build and maintain it for you | MobiLoud |
A Bubble or custom web app | The cheapest route into both stores | Natively |
Starting from scratch with technical skills | Full control and your own code | FlutterFlow |
When AppMySite is still the right choice
AppMySite still makes sense for a small WordPress or WooCommerce site that wants an Android app first, on a budget under $50 a month. Its free plan lets you test on Android, and its 2026 support reviews are strong. Switch when you need iOS without paying for Pro, more design control than templates allow, or someone else to handle publishing.
What does an AppMySite alternative cost over three years?
Monthly prices hide the real gap. Over three years, the cheapest entry plan with an iPhone app ranges from under $1,500 to more than $54,000. Totals below are the entry plan with iOS times 36 months, plus Apple's $99 yearly fee and Google's $25 one-time fee.
Tool and plan | Monthly | 3-year total |
Natively Unlimited (billed yearly) | $32 | $1,474 |
AppPresser Standard (billed yearly) | $59 | $2,446 |
AppMySite Pro (billed yearly) | $99 | $3,886 |
MageNative Starter | $99 | $3,886 |
AppMySite Pro (monthly) | $129 | $4,966 |
Shopney Silver | $149 | $5,686 |
Appbrew Starter | $199 | $7,486 plus usage-based charges |
Tapcart Growth | $500 | $18,322 |
MobiLoud Business | $1,499 | $54,286 |
The cheapest line is rarely the cheapest outcome. A $199 app that brings in repeat orders pays for itself faster than a $99 app nobody opens twice, so weigh the 3-year cost against what the app will actually sell.
Is an app built with AppMySite native or a webview, and will Apple approve it?
It depends on the mode. On Shopify, AppMySite shows products and collections on native screens and loads checkout in a WebView inside the app. In website-to-app mode, the app displays your website, which is a wrapper by design. Apple approves both kinds when the app does enough beyond the website, and recent AppMySite reviews show apps getting through.
What Apple Guideline 4.2 requires
Apple's App Review Guidelines set the bar in section 4.2: "Your app should include features, content, and UI that elevate it beyond a repackaged website." Section 4.2.2 adds that apps shouldn't primarily be "web clippings, content aggregators, or a collection of links."
In practice, reviewers look for things a browser can't do: push notifications, native navigation, offline screens, saved accounts and device features. A wrapper with none of these is the app most likely to be rejected.
A 5-minute test to check whether any app is a wrapper
Run these on a demo app from any builder before you sign up:
- Turn on airplane mode and open the app. A native app shows cached screens or a designed offline state. A wrapper shows a browser-style error.
- Look for your website's header, footer or cookie banner inside the app. If they appear, you're looking at the website.
- Long-press an image or a link. Browser menus like "Open in new tab" or "Copy link" give a WebView away.
- Swipe back between screens. Native apps slide between screens instantly. Wrappers often reload the page.
- Tap a push notification. It should open the exact product or collection, not the home page.
Which AppMySite alternatives use AI to build and run your app?
Most app builders now use AI to help you create screens or write copy. Very few use it to run the app after launch. That difference matters more than any single feature, because building the app takes weeks while running it takes every week after.
Level | What the AI does | Tools at this level |
0. No AI | You build and run everything by hand | Superfans, Plobal Apps, MageNative, AppPresser, Natively, MobiLoud (none listed) |
1. AI helps you build | Generates pages, layouts or code; some write push copy | AppMySite ("vibe code your app by chatting with AI"), GoodBarber (AI-assisted creation), FlutterFlow (AI generation and agents for building), Shopney (AI push on Platinum), Tapcart (AI editing; AI Autopilot in the $250/mo add-on) |
2. AI agent runs the app | Builds the app, then keeps operating it: edits screens, writes and schedules push, sets up promotions, reports on results | Appbrew (Milo, on every paid plan) |
AppMySite's AI sits at level 1. It helps you create pages and content inside its builder, and then you're on your own. Tapcart is moving toward level 2 with AI Autopilot and an Agent MCP on Enterprise+, but those sit on its add-on and top tier.
At level 2, the question changes from "who on my team has time to update the app?" to "what do I want the app to do this week?" With Appbrew, you tell Milo to launch a sale banner, segment a push to lapsed buyers or rebuild the home screen for a new collection, and it does the work in your brand's voice.
For a wider view of the category, see our ranking of the best AI app builders.
How do you switch from AppMySite without losing your app users?
You keep your users by publishing the new app as an update to the existing store listing, not as a brand-new app. Customers get the new version through a normal update, and your ratings and reviews stay in place.
- Confirm who owns the Apple and Google developer accounts. You need admin access to both before anything else. If AppMySite published under its own account, plan the app transfer first.
- Keep the same bundle ID and store listing. This is what carries your installs, ratings and reviews over to the new app.
- Secure your Android signing key before you cancel. A Capterra reviewer noted in June 2026 that switching modes inside AppMySite needs a new project and breaks the existing keystore. Updates to the same Play listing must be signed with the same key, so don't lose it.
- Plan push and deep links. Ask your new provider how notification permissions and push tokens carry over. Test the links in your emails, SMS, ads and QR codes against the new app.
- Build, test and publish the update while the old app stays live. Check products, accounts, checkout, subscriptions and analytics before submission. After release, watch crashes, checkout completion and push delivery.
- Cancel AppMySite only after the new build is approved and stable. Get your final renewal amount in writing so nothing bills after you leave.

How we compared these tools
We compared each tool on platform, entry price with iOS, app type, AI features and free trial, using each vendor's pricing page or Shopify App Store listing (checked October 16, 2026).
AppMySite's limits come from its own pricing and documentation and from 2024–2026 reviews on G2, Trustpilot, Capterra, Software Advice and AppSumo.
Full disclosure: Appbrew is our own platform, and we placed it first. We've listed its trade-offs the same way we did for every other tool.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best AppMySite alternative?
It depends on your platform. For Shopify brands that want the app to drive revenue without a dedicated team, Appbrew is the strongest pick because its AI agent builds and runs the app. For WordPress sites, AppPresser is the closest like-for-like replacement. For custom web apps, Natively is the cheapest route into the app stores.
Is there a free alternative to AppMySite?
Yes, with limits. Plobal Apps has a free Shopify plan that takes 3% of in-app sales, FlutterFlow has a free plan for building from scratch, and Natively lets you test for free. Every free option charges once you publish or grow. Apple's $99 yearly developer fee applies either way.
Is AppMySite a native app or a webview?
Both, depending on the mode. On Shopify, product and collection screens are native while checkout loads in a WebView inside the app. In website-to-app mode, the app shows your website, which works like a wrapper.
How much does AppMySite cost?
AppMySite's Shopify plans cost $0, $49, $99 and $199 a month billed yearly ($0, $69, $129 and $249 month to month). The Free and Starter plans are Android only. iPhone apps start on Pro.
Does AppMySite work with Shopify?
Yes. AppMySite launched a Shopify App Store app in November 2025 that syncs products, collections, orders and payments. The app cart is separate from your website cart, and checkout runs through Shopify's checkout in a WebView.
Will Apple reject an app made with a website-to-app builder?
Not automatically. Apple's Guideline 4.2 rejects apps that don't go "beyond a repackaged website," so approval depends on native features like push, offline screens and native navigation. Plenty of AppMySite apps get approved. Thin wrappers with nothing more than the website are the ones at risk.
What is the best AppMySite alternative for iPhone apps?
For Shopify, MageNative includes iOS from $99/mo and Shopney from $149/mo, while Appbrew includes iOS plus store launch and AI from $199/mo. For WordPress, AppPresser includes iOS on every plan from $59/mo billed yearly.
Can I move from AppMySite without losing my app users?
Yes. Publish the new app as an update to your existing App Store and Google Play listings, using the same bundle ID and Android signing key. Users update as normal, and your ratings and reviews stay.
Ship your new Appbrew app as an update to your current store listings, so installs, ratings and reviews stay.
